“Hey Nyland, what are they taking?”
And Nyland said, “They are taking the caddis dad, they are taking the caddis.”
More About the Author
Terry Courtright’s life has always been an adventure across space and time, from the Sierra Nevada mountains he walked as a boy to the mountains of Montana when he moved there in in 1975.
His passion with fly fishing expanded on the Gallatin River's Flying D section that captured over three hundred days of his time. He fished everything all across Montana and started to tie flies that sold in local shops in Bozeman. He guided other fishermen and taught fly tying classes on his own.
Courtright moved back to Reno and worked in a variety of positions in the advertising world. He wrote newspaper columns about fly fishing and worked freelance on agency accounts. Bored with the fishing in the Sierras and the overcrowded conditions there, he went back to Montana and its incredible diversity of water. He expanded his horizons and found the fascinating world of pointing dogs, as bird hunting and dog trialing began to dominate his spare time. He continued to write, and his material took a mystical bent, leaning towards the complexities of life explained in simple language. His pursuit of hidden schools and hidden truths balanced the natural outdoor realm that was his daily routine. Eventually he found his place amongst these things. Now he breeds world class Britany's, fishes the best waters in the west, drinks vintage Bordeaux and hunts the last best places.
